Meet the Team

Lane White is the founder and President of Blue Collar Genius. He was born and raised in small town Ohio and graduated from Hillsdale College (’18). Right after undergrad, Lane went on to pursue an MBA from Northwood University (’19).

Lane found a job in Washington DC in the banking industry at a small firm. Friends of his from college founded a home improvement company around the same time and were looking to expand into new markets. They asked Lane to join in the early stages of the business and Lane was eager to join. Lane got his first taste at running a business. Crawl Space Brothers became a success and during his 5 years there, gathered a wide range of knowledge in building science. Lane is eternally humbled and grateful to his friends, the “Brothers”, for trusting him in their business venture.

Lane found a passion in the home improvement industry and wanted to start a new business in order to bring more value to more clients. He found that there was a need for clients to have an educated advocate in their corner helping them work with contractors. Blue Collar Genius was the answer to that need.

Lane’s expertise is primarily in crawl space and basement waterproofing, humidity control, moisture/condensation control, clean air, exterior waterproofing, mold remediation, insulation, external drainage, and structural/foundation repair. Lane has friends in many different industries though, and does not shy away from situations outside of his realm as he has a broad team he can consult with.
